Simple Plant Pot Cover

A plant pot cover is a simple easy way to add a flare to any pot. Change it with the seasons or cover up an ugly pot.

This simple plant pot cover is a great project for fabric yarn and can be made to fit any pot.

Materials needed:

  • Fabric yarn
  • 10mm crochet
  • Plant pot (any size)

You will begin with a magic circle and increase your circle until it reaches the same size as the bottom of your pot.

Follow Rounds 1-3, for a larger circle continue adding stitches by repeating Round 3 and increasing the number of Sc in between the 2 Sc by 1 every round.

For example,  Round 4: *2 Sc, 1 Sc, 1 Sc*

                       Round 5: *2 Sc, 1 Sc, 1 Sc, 1 Sc*

You can work in a continuous circle. Do not join or ch up after each round.

It may be helpful to mark the first stitch with a stitch marker.

Pattern:

Round 1: Create a Magic Circle with 6 Sc. – 6 sts

Round 2: 2 Sc in each st around. – 12 sts

Round 3: *2 Sc, 1 Sc*  repeat from * to * around – 18 sts

Repeat Round 3 increasing the number of Sc in between the 2 sc by 1 every round.

Round 4: Sc Back Loop Only in each stitch around

Round 5: Sc in each stitch around until you reach the height of the pot.

Sl St in last stitch. Tie off.

Enjoy your cute little pot cover!
