Simple Plant Pot Cover
A plant pot cover is a simple easy way to add a flare to any pot. Change it with the seasons or cover up an ugly pot.
This simple plant pot cover is a great project for fabric yarn and can be made to fit any pot.
Materials needed:
- Fabric yarn
- 10mm crochet
- Plant pot (any size)
You will begin with a magic circle and increase your circle until it reaches the same size as the bottom of your pot.
Follow Rounds 1-3, for a larger circle continue adding stitches by repeating Round 3 and increasing the number of Sc in between the 2 Sc by 1 every round.
For example, Round 4: *2 Sc, 1 Sc, 1 Sc*
Round 5: *2 Sc, 1 Sc, 1 Sc, 1 Sc*
You can work in a continuous circle. Do not join or ch up after each round.
It may be helpful to mark the first stitch with a stitch marker.
Pattern:
Round 1: Create a Magic Circle with 6 Sc. – 6 sts
Round 2: 2 Sc in each st around. – 12 sts
Round 3: *2 Sc, 1 Sc* repeat from * to * around – 18 sts
Repeat Round 3 increasing the number of Sc in between the 2 sc by 1 every round.
Round 4: Sc Back Loop Only in each stitch around
Round 5: Sc in each stitch around until you reach the height of the pot.
Sl St in last stitch. Tie off.
